We need your consent before you can continue browsing our website.

If you are under 16 and wish to give consent to optional services, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission.

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Some are essential, while others help us improve this website and your experience. Personal data may be processed (e.g. IP addresses), for example to statistically evaluate the reach of our website. You can find more information in our privacy policy. You can revoke or adjust your selection at any time via .

Google Analytics processes personal data in the USA. By consenting to the use of this service, you also consent to the processing of your data in the USA under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. The CJEU considers the USA a country with an inadequate level of data protection by EU standards – there is a risk that US authorities may process personal data as part of surveillance programmes without any means of redress for Europeans.

Privacy Policy

1. Privacy at a glance

General information

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. Detailed information can be found in the privacy policy listed below this text.

Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the section “Controller” in this privacy policy.

How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, on the one hand, by you providing it to us – for example via the contact form, by email, phone or WhatsApp. Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website, primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access), as well as – only with your consent via the cookie consent banner – statistical data on website usage.

What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data is used to respond to enquiries you send us via the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of processing. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider:

all-inkl.com – Neue Medien Münnich
Boelckestraße 1
02742 Friedersdorf, Germany

The personal data collected when you visit this website is stored on the host’s servers. This may primarily include IP addresses, meta and communication data, contact enquiries and other data generated via a website.

External hosting is carried out in the interest of providing our online services securely, quickly and efficiently through a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The host processes your data only to the extent necessary to fulfil its service obligations and follows our instructions with regard to this data. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with our host.

3. General information and mandatory disclosures

Data protection

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps – complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Controller

Optimello – Marketing & Design
Mooshamer Feld 10
94496 Ortenburg, Germany

Phone: +49 1512 1187036
Email: info@optimello.de

As a sole proprietor without employees, I am not obliged to appoint a company data protection officer (Sec. 38 BDSG, German Federal Data Protection Act). If you have any questions about data protection, please contact the address given above directly.

Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period has been named within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. tax or commercial law retention periods).

General information on the legal basis for data processing

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If your data is required to fulfil a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data processing may also take place on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies, data processing additionally takes place on the basis of Sec. 25(1) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act). The applicable legal basis in each specific case is explained in the following sections. Any consent can be revoked at any time.

Recipients of personal data

We only pass on personal data to external parties if this is necessary to fulfil a contract (e.g. to our host), if we are legally obliged to do so, or if there is a legitimate interest in the disclosure. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with each processor (e.g. our host).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent, e.g. for the cookie consent. You can revoke consent already given at any time by clicking the small cookie icon at the bottom left of the screen – this reopens the cookie settings. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content (e.g. enquiries via the contact form), this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock icon in your browser bar.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies and consent management

Our website uses cookies. These are small data packets that do not cause any damage to your device and are stored either only for the duration of your visit (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies).

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process or for providing certain functions you have requested (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free provision of our services.

Via our cookie consent banner, you can choose which further categories of cookies are permitted. We currently offer the category “Statistics” for this purpose (see “Google Analytics” below); no marketing or advertising cookies are used. Your selection is stored locally in your browser (`localStorage`) and taken into account on every further visit, until you change it via the cookie icon at the bottom left. The consent banner itself is a custom, in-house implementation (not a third-party tool); no data is transmitted to third parties in the process.

Server log files

Our host automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation of our website.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the form (name, email address, selected topic, message) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.

The form is forwarded to us by email via a server-side script on our own web hosting (all-inkl.com); no form data is permanently stored in a database. To protect against automated spam submissions, the form contains an additional field invisible to humans (honeypot), which allows no conclusions to be drawn about you provided you do not fill it in.

Processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give via the checkbox in the form, as well as – if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures – on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies.

Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

This website also features a link or button to WhatsApp (provider: WhatsApp Ireland Limited, part of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland). This is a plain link only, not an embedded chat widget – clicking it does not transmit any data to WhatsApp before you leave our website. Once you follow the link and start a conversation, WhatsApp/Meta’s privacy policy applies to that communication; we have no influence over this processing.

Google Fonts (self-hosted)

This website uses Google Fonts (Poppins, Work Sans) for a consistent display of typefaces. The font files are hosted locally on our own server. When the website is accessed, no connection to Google’s servers is established and no data is transmitted to Google.

5. Analytics tools

Google Analytics

This website is technically prepared for the integration of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider would be Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics is currently not active – no script is loaded and no data is transmitted to Google, regardless of which cookie selection you make.

Should Google Analytics be activated in the future, the following will apply: use will take place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Sec. 25(1) TTDSG) via the cookie consent banner, with IP anonymisation enabled. The transfer of data to the USA would be based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses; Google Ireland Limited holds a certification under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). This privacy policy will be updated and supplemented accordingly before any actual activation (including a link to the Google opt-out browser add-on).

6. Our profiles on social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, which this website links to in the footer. These are exclusively plain links (regular `<a>` links) – not embedded social media plugins, like buttons or tracking pixels. Visiting a page on this website therefore does not establish a connection to the respective networks’ servers and no data is transmitted. Only once you actively click one of the links do you leave our website; from that point on, the respective provider’s privacy policy applies:

  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland – Privacy Policy
  • Facebook & Instagram: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland – Privacy Policy
  • TikTok: TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, Ireland – Privacy Policy

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise these rights, please contact: info@optimello.de
