Over more than 22 years in retail, I’ve applied this quote from Henry Ford not just to products, but above all to leadership: a leader who doesn’t advocate every day – through honesty, authenticity and communication at eye level – for themselves and the shared path, loses their team.
I’m a success junkie. What excites me isn’t managing the status quo, but the challenge: how do we turn a location from red to green? How do we turn a group of lone fighters into a team that burns for the cause?

I led teams of 70 to 170 employees and was responsible for revenues between €26 and €45 million. My reputation was clear:

I became a father for the first time at 26 – back then, the balancing act between career and family was often too much. Today, as a father of four children in total, I’ve sharpened my priorities.
After real,-, I deliberately turned down lucrative offers to focus fully on my youngest children and my family in Bavaria. Together with my wife, I support our children with everything we can in their hobbies – from karate to athletics and ballet to hip-hop/jazz dance and music lessons. I also take on responsibility outside the family: as chair of the parents’ council at the Catholic kindergarten and as secretary of the parents’ council at our primary and secondary school.
All of this has grounded me. I don’t live in the past, and I don’t mourn things that can no longer be changed. But every memory and every lesson from the last 22 years is a valuable building block for everything that comes next. I try to become a little better every day than I was the day before.

Starting 4 January 2026, I’m launching optimello.de. My goal: to equip career starters, self-employed professionals and small business owners with exactly the tools they need to grow in a structured way and go beyond themselves. I don’t offer theoretical phrases, but practice-tested strategies from two decades of high-level management.
Working remotely from Ortenburg in Lower Bavaria, I work with clients across Germany – a personal conversation isn’t a must, but it’s always possible.
